Doubly Good Show
my saturday was A BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it has been a while since i've enjoyed myself so much...the last was during andy lau's concert...but considering he's my mom's genre...hehe
i'm shy to say that i've never been to Putra Indoor Stadium before. so i was frantically asking nat if the tall tall buildings we passed was it...*eeek!*. it wasn't that big...but it was good enuff.
they started pretty late. we were kinda annoyed since we were in by 7.30. and the same hotlink advertisements kept repeating it was getting on our nerves. at 8.45, lights dimmed, the show started.
everyone was screaming so wildly. i was too...until my sis hinted to me to shut up(i guess mine was too sharp and irritating...hehe). can't blame me yo...it's not always that u get 2 artistes that u adore to hold a concert together. and what more when u know that the guest artiste...is...omg...*faints*
they were raised from below. there were 2 themes. miriam's was the past so basically the dancers were all dressed in oriental clothings and leo's was the future. so they were in silver and all painted up. they were atrociously dressed. but they still looked really really charming.
i stopped snapping and recording a few minutes after the show started because i decided i had to concentrate on the music before i regret and forget everything i'd seen to blog about it...HEHE!! it was like a karaoke session. i was surprised i knew every song they sang...and so did the rest of the crowd...which was a really touching scene...
and then the time came!! they introduced Justin to stage, who, as usual was dressed in a red shirt, black coat and slacks and black cap. i yelled on top of my lungs and grabbed my phone wrongly instead of the camera to record...illegally. hehe...but it wasn't for too long. i had to sing along and he requested us to turn on the flashes of our hps(which everyone obliged to) and performed 2 beautiful songs, and an acappella with leo, joey tang and another backup singer.
the singing went on, the dancing went on...and the screams too continued until 12.15. they ended the concert and were lowered down. leo still waved to the crowd eventhou he was...underneath the stage! wahaha...we stood there and looked. trying to keep as many scenes as possible in mind...
it was a memorable concert...i miss it a lot...AND I'M STILL MISSING IT!!!!!
*miriam as happy-go-lucky as always
*leo...dancing...*burp*
*JUSTIN, leo and miriam
*Accapella(leo, justin, joey tang)
*leo inspecting miriam's hand...over-shook. even from our place we could see it was red...poor thing!!
*****as my stupid blog can't support chinese characters, the list of songs they performed are in the COMMENTs area...freak!

One Good Show...Justin
i reached sg.wang around 5. met rie, whom i met thru the forum, WHO COINCIDENTLY is also a utar student, COINCIDENTLY studying in the same building as i am but taking journalism. and she's in final year. nice meeting her. she adores what i do. teehee!!
the dj came out...he's cute too. and he speaks well. and the best part was he gave me a poster. HAH! justin appeared 5 mins after 8...
he is short. BUT DEFINITELY NOT UGLY!! SO NVR SAY HE IS!!!
handed him a stalk of rose that cost me blady rm5 and he wished me 'ching yan jit faai lok'. good enuff. even paying rm10 is worth. LOL!!
not many ppl...expected thou. everyone was crowding around just for the sake of it. even an indonesian kid pushed his way thru the front row, standing rite in front of me...he was cute...AT FIRST...and chiew fei nicely layaned him until...
'eh! sapa tu?! kenapa dengan dia?'---with heavily accented indonesian
'dia tu justin.'
'mana dia?!'
'dia kat belakang. pukul 8 baru keluar'
and he started asking us for a watch eventhough he din even know how to read numbers. i had to point to him that when the minute hand reaches 12, he'll reach. then he asked me...
'mana lapan?'...pfft
after a while...when justin arrived, we snapped and screamed crazily until we were repeatedly interrupted by the same...chubby boy. i put my finger on my lips to hint to him to keep quiet. being a naive kid i think, he din get me.
'adik bisingla! jangan bising boleh?!'
WHOO HOO!! GO FEI FEI!!!
he shut up. and left...WAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
the rest of the nite was filled with more walking to the lrt, monorail & ktm stations, taxi & bus stops, airport and beca...i felt as if i have travelled the entire kl with all the public transports that exists.
that wasn't the end...there was an assignment to complete when i reach home. FUCK!! and the freaking line wasn't working. it's done...but it seems i left sumthing out. bah! screw me la...;)

went for 'the descent' yesterday with jin wen. it's by far the most gory movie i've ever seen. the freaking effects made me cover my whole face with my oversize jacket, i closed my eyes at the same time and thank god i still had extra fingers to shut my ears. phew. it was horrifying. blady...but really really interesting. barely had time to breathe since the movie started...which lasted for 1hr 39minutes to be exact. phew...i swear i'd never volunteer to go for movies like that anymore. but i've been persuading people to go for it. at least to share their feelings with me. it's terrible, especially when i'm so blady chicken in watching horror movies...and it's not even a typical 'horror' movie. diu!
*for the weak hearted, buy a dvd. but no matter what, watch it!!
'it left me wondering last nite whether or not there are creatures like that living on earth right now at this time. i pray not. even if there were, i hope they can't bare to come out of their gloomy, soggy and...undiscovered cave. i pray that they melt right away when they are in contact with the world so they dun get to climb all the way to the city. shit!'
went to ms.read for a chocolate brownie with jin wen b4 the movie and had a pot of earl grey. damn classy, eh?! it was good...recommended!

i'm keen to go, basically. considering the fact that we might be heading to shaolin temple especially. i have to go. can't let go of the chance. eventhough it means, 8 days without tv, 8 days of mandarin speaking people, and 8 days of hotel-switching and walking...weeee!!!

fearless...back to square 1
I*T W*A*S F*U*C*K*I*N*G F*A*N*T*A*S*T*I*C
jet li has aged gracefully, looking evermore like a master of martial arts. compared to the wong fei hung trilogy he acted in, his portrayal as fok yuen gaap here is way more promising. considering it's his last martial arts movie, he didn't let anyone down. (except for the imbecile commentator who wrote in The Star...know history and martial arts b4 u comment. fok yuen gaap was real!!)
The showdown between him and other foreign fighters promoted the idea of sparing your enemy a chance, no matter how deadly they could be. Jet Li has once again proved his strength as the hero among Chinese. unfortunately, the movie was edited from 150 minutes to a dismal 103minute movie. it should've been longer. michelle yeoh played a small role...but it was removed.
even the themesong was remarkable. though composed and sung by jay chou(pfft!), everything blended in perfectly.
i'm waiting for the dvd to be released. my mom was the first to remind me to get the original version. YES MA'AM! i'm getting the ori DVD!! WHOO HOO!!! if it's affordable. i wan the mandarin version. someone should voice out on the bad vocal dubbing. it spoils the whole ambience.
martial-art lovers, it's a must watch.
NON martial-art lovers, WATCH IT!!!
